Great list! Some of which might be a little too outside for my ears though. One suggestion that you might not be familiar with: Richie Cole. Thx again.
Always a pleasure. My father and his brothers were big band fanatics. However, that did not include Basie, Ellington, Eckstine, Panama Francis and Illinois Jacquet et al. I began collecting jazz with Take Five and Getz/ Gilberto in the 60's but did not really dive deeper until the late 70's. I was not a big fusion fan but found Lester Young, Ben Webster, Bill Evans, MJQ, Clifford Brown, Monk, Sassy, Dina, Ella and on and on much more rewarding.
Thank you. Now I have a few more albums on my want list. I still consider myself a newbie after listening to jazz for many years. A lot of old stuff that is new to me. Love it.

Thanks for reading and for the recommendation!

There's never an end to discovering new jazz, or really any type of music. Thanks for reading!
